Analysis of tyre wear generated by either hand held scanner or drive over ramp can be carried out offline by importing scan data into existing data management systems or a stand alone PC and using TreadReader PC software. Automated analysis includes:

• Wear modes
• Diagnosis of tyre / vehicle / driver faults
• Tyre wear modelling and remaining service life prediction

The software produces a colour coded area scan of the tyre surface to easily identify tyre wear problems. Specific functions include:

• Tread depth reporting
• Cursor driven analysis of specific areas of the tyre
• Cross sectional view of the tyre profile
• Zoomed X and Y cross sectional profiles
• Tyre wear mode diagnostics

Wear analysis parameters may be configured according to individual feet operator policy for tread wear and minimum tread depth to generate easy to use exception reports. These may be used to trigger early tyre / vehicle investigations.
